"sniff, sniff, cough" oh, love that smell.. "sniff sniff"

Anybody who has ever walked through the Orange groves know that sniff-lee reaction I am referring to.. The pungent aroma is wonderful, awesome, and a smell you don't want to forget.

The small little blossoms pack a big perfumed smell. In the evening hours the aroma is even stronger with a bit of moisture in the night air. Before I moved to Florida I had often smelled orange blossom cologne, or perfume.. I believed that the orange groves must smelled like that.. Not so, nothing man made can really capture the beautiful smell of a orange tree in full bloom. A bloom,a blossom, preparing to become a luscious orange fruit.

One of natures natural vitamin C's.

I spent some time walking the shopping streets at Wiregrass. Looking at the lovely flowers in bloom and the pleasant feel of the outdoor shopping. I have never been to fond of a mall setting and this is just a great place to browse.

As I am preparing to return to West Virginia soon , I find myself checking out all the different blooms and flowering colors . I'm wondering what would grow in the cooler climate, and just what I see here in Florida I would like to take with me. Plants and flowers to place in the beautiful yard and grand front porch of the company store known as Whipple.

Quote for the day

There was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility. Inside of the dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy and a tragedy.....Mark Twain

Much time has been spent at the Acting Studio this month, where my lovely daughter is a Star.
The School is presenting the show Return to the forbidden planet. It is an awesome spoof on Shakespear. The crew crashes into the planet d'illria, and meets up with Doc Prospero and his daughter Miranda. (My daughter) I want to share some of the photos presenting cast, crew, set ,and of course, Charlotte.

tea time

The sun shines bright and the day is warm. What a better way to start off the Lenten season than with a cup of tea and a relaxing rock in my chair.

Yard Sales Rock!

Lonely little rocker sitting by itself , seem to be calling me as I walked up the driveway to the yard sale items.. People all around were grabbing the deal of a lifetime. No one seem to notice the neglected maple rocker with the tattered burnt orange covered cushions. It has the sweetest little skirt and the nicest slender rockers. "You rocked alot of babies", I was thinking as I approached this little chair. Looking around I seemed to be standing all alone, so I SAT in the chair. Happiness was all I could feel, and at once I new this chair was going home with me. No sadness, no mourning did I feel with this little rocker. Only happy, smiles, and good memories.. Welcome home little Rocker so glad you are here.

Memoirs from my Rocker............
Browsing through web photos today, I ran across this lovely little pic.. It brought back memories
of the days when I would sit in the rocker and sew my dolly dresses..Momma was a terrific seamtress and she would show me how the buttons would attach(no velcro back then) Sometimes I would get to use a snap or a hook and eye. I must say I was a sloppy sewer at first. But momma didn't give up on me, and by age 6, I was pretty good with dolly clothes. Its funny no matter how many clothes my dolly had she never seemed to be fully dressed.. I wonder if that was because I was always designing something new. I noticed in this photo her sissors on the floor. I recall how mine fell to the floor many times. Looking into her face, I recall my own thoughts while sewing away at the seam. Darn those sissors! Where are those sissors? I think im going to go find those little sissors...
Till next time
